Racing Supercollector

A Racing supercollector is a collector that has a passion for their type of collecting. There are two types of collectors in the racing community.

1. An individual driver collector – this type will be determined by the size and commitment of the members collection. You must have 95% if not all simple base and inserts of your driver. You must have at least 75% of the available numbered cards of the individual driver; this requirement should also include some of the EBay preview cards. The applicant must be able to show a considerable collection of the drivers race-used and autographs with in the collection, to be able to show at least 75% of these cards are a true testament of ones passion for their driver. They should also be able to show a part of there collection that is not related to trading cards’; Die cast, press kits, any other unique items of their driver. 1/1’s should also be an intricate part of their collections.

2. Set collectors – Set collectors are a unique breed of collectors. There is literally millions of racing cards available all set into thousands of different sets. To be able to have the distinction of a Set Supercollector they must be able to show not only that they collect every master set but also the many of minor sets there are. Many top manufactures have produced minor sets of NASCAR. From Kraft to Craftsmen, Valvoline to Castrol have printed sets of drivers. These sets are going to be what determines a supercollector. To be able to claim that they have 75% or better of all race cards printed is something to brag about.

To become a SCF Racing Supercollector we ask that you first submit your request along with documentation of all requested items above. Be ready to show scans of your Ru’d and Auto’s along with scans of your lower numbered cards, previews, reds, 1/1’s, etc. Links to your photobuckets, websites, etc are required.

All applicants will then be taken under review by the Racing team along with the Sr. Sports Manager and General Manger of the site. Individuals determined to have the merit of sporting the accolade of supercollector will be able to show this award with a specially designed badge in their honor.

i would say my sorenson collection can't be touched by anyone, so i will enter as well. only thing i can't do is pics of my die cast. i do not own a digital camera, but i can list what i have.

boy idk if I can keep up with these boys lol-but maybe ill enter-I think there should be a level 1 collector award (these 2 guys above me lol), and maybe a level 2 award for someone whos collection is stout but not flat out ridiculous. Mine is sorta like that although I do have a lot of stuff besides the cards so maybe lol.

I echo your sentiments exactly. I feel my Harvick collection is sweet, but not necessarily stout. Lacking an ebay preview card, press plate, or other 1/1 doesn't help. My diecast collection is only 30 strong, with 1 auto diecast. I do have lots of other stuff that needs a picture for. I know others who's collections are far more superior than mine. No doubt those first 2 are definitely in with their Pearson & Sorenson collections. Darin's McMurray if not his Harvick collection is worthy as well. Tyrant has an awesome Gordon collection as well. There are soo many who deserve recognition, like Les and Chris and Ashley. It is an awesome idea. It's stuff like this that is the reason I love this site.

I don't know about my Jimmie collection compared to others, but I think I have the best Mears/Reutimann collections out there!

This is a cool idea, something to drive your aspirations.
If you don't mind a Suggetion, I think it would be cool to have the Driver Supercollector Background be of The Driver you collect.
