yes there is a couple.....one is outside d.c. and its the one i go to when im remotely out that way...card shops name is called A.J. Sports card shop. The guys there are pretty nice...i dont think many of them really even get paid to be there. The card shop owners died a couple years ago and his wife now owns it...and he freinds now run it for him... there kinda a small shop but the only hobby shop worth going in a you can talk sports cards forever in there. There was one in Springfield mall. A guy that i have learned to hate. His shop was in there all as i was growning up. Now he sells everything 200% sometime 250% jacked... boxes that are $80-$100 anywhere else in a hobby shop are $200 in his store. His memorbilia is jacked and his packs i think are searched and sold on the internet. Really i cant stand him....he many times took my cards for 10-20% of there value when i needed to sell for rent money. and then sold them for 100% if BV or More. And im serious. The guy smiles in your face...but he's tierd of cards and collecting, you can just tell...isnt even nice about it....it pure business...and i understand that cause of how hard it is to even profit because of the internet....but its not the kids fault...dont be so serious with them...anyways he moved to woodbridge area now, and whole new store with whole new people to rip off...guess he done ripped everyone off in this area.
Anyways i go to A.J.'s i can get boxes for $5-10$ higher than the best price on the internet...and the will take your number and track down cards for you or when they get them in....
And then there is a store in Annandale thats called "The Lucky Frog" though ive never been there even though it down the street form me...just dont know exactly where it is

I don't know how far outside DC you're willing to go, but there's a few VA & MD shops listed in the card shops thread. Have a look -- https://www.sportscardforum.com/showthread.php?t=496850
