Boycott ABC
I just stumbled upon this. I guess we're about 7 years too late, but in my mind it is still objectionable and shows how much the media is just another profit-seeking business who will go to any length to make money. No morals, no conscience, but by golly, they have a lot of cash!

I think boycotting ABC for something they did 7 years ago is a little drastic.
Plus, they have the last four Cup races, along with college football every Saturday. It's not that real to me.
BTW, what does this have to do with politics?

I was just being a little dramatic to garner views.
Plus, they have the last four Cup races, along with college football every Saturday. It's not that real to me.
Well, in that case...
BTW, what does this have to do with politics?
Nothing, really. I'm willing to admit it. *cough cough*

If I worked for ABC and they sent me to Iraq, Iran, Afgan or pretty much anywhere outside the US right now I wouldn't be advertising where I'm from. I didn't even notice if they wore them before 9/11

With all due respect JayJagFan, what were you trying to accomplish by posting this? Why? Does it have any relevance to the election? To policy?
This thing is the same thing as the Joe the Plumber crapola. It's just a ruse; something for people who don't know anything about real issues to talk about. This piece of information has NO potential for intelligent discussion. Did you honestly expect something good to come out of posting it?
Did you expect this topic to ignite intelligent conversation? Yes or no?
What I'm saying is, is that there is no way this topic can be construed into something positive, which I thought was the aim of this new policy. It has NO intellectual value, and therefore NO intelligent responses could possibly occur. It has ZERO potential.
Show me ONE relevant reply to this thread. C'mon, I dare ya. You want to know why there aren't any? I've said it about three times now. This topic has no potential.

I was making a statement about how the media has been degenerated and ™™™™™™™ized into a money-making business just like everything else in this country. Perhaps it would have been better to post it in the main chit-chat forum...I'm not too high up on my ivory tower to admit that.
