Barack against the Iraq war ? Am I Alone In My Thinking ?

    I haven't seen/heard it anywhere...........

One of Barack's biggest selling points is that he was against the war from the very beginning. That's all well and good, he turned out to be right BUT.......

Do we really want a president that ignores EVERY intelligence agency in the ENTIRE world ?? and acts on what he "feels" is the right thing to do ? Yeah, he was right ONCE. What happens when the bad guys fool HIM once ?

Personally I'd rather we attack on good (even if wrong) intelligence than sit back and do nothing because we MIGHT be wrong.

On another note.......... It's pretty amusing......... Governor Palin is the ONLY person involved with this elestion that has ANY executive experience and she keeps getting slammed for no experience ?

It seems this election will be won or lost on the old adage that people vote on their emotions, not facts.

Is there such thing as good intelligence that is wrong? Wouldn't it still be bad intelligence?

My thoughts exactly. Wouldn't "good intelligence gone wrong" mean the "bad guys" fooled us in the end anyway?

If not, the intelligence would still be wrong, meaning it was not acquired correctly in the first place. How, in good conscience, can we act on that kind of intelligence knowing it could be wrong? The ramifications are too great to simply take action to spite the idea of "sitting back and doing nothing".

You do have to be wrong once in a while to find out how to achieve better intelligence in the future. But should we be wrong through taking action based on the pressure to act? I would venture to say that many people would retort: better them than us, right? However, being wrong doesn't mean it harms us in the process.

It's a fact that on the major issue of Iraq Obama was right and Mccain was wrong, not everyone believed the intel before the war are those people all wrong also? I would rather have a president that can think for himself then one who believes everything told to him.

And even IF the intel was right did that give us reason to attack a country that did nothing to us? IF the media would have done it's job they could have stopped the war and proved the intel wrong (like Joe Wilson did) but look what happened to him and his wife when they spoke up.

Looking back now on sept 12th 2001 I think it was obvious we were going to invade Iraq they only needed a reason(even if they made up that reason)

And even if you give Bush credit for invading Iraq, I think even people in love with him have to admit he screw it up
