I'm just assuming that you were refering to Bush here and if so ....
Don't be so sure he didn't know this was coming. as noted I am a firm believer in a few "conspiracies" and one of the major one's that I support and honestly believe in is that ... maybe not Bush alone but you can almost bet your bottom dollar our government knew something was coming if not exactly what was coming. The attack on the WTC was a small cog in the large wheel to cripple the American Economy and although it took a while longer than expected, it did just that.
If you are interested you can read more for yoursself and draw your own opinions but most of it I'm sure you will find very interesting to say the least.
Oh and Gatorboy - Excellent post man!

sure, and i bet there was no plan crach in Washington either right? And explosives was in the towers to make them crash like that. That is why Bush never l eft the children because he knew it was coming.

Sorry no offense intended to anyone that may have lost someone in 9/11. But I do not believe the government thinks a few thousand lives are worth more than their grand scheme of absolute rule and power. The government will throw an American into the fire when needed to gain that extra step they need. Do you honestly think the US government gives two pigeons what we the people think, say, do, believe in, have the rights to or care for? Heck NO ... and if you do then you are blind. They don't care any more about us as citizens than they do for the people in the Middle East right now. We are one step and a banana peel away from WWIII my friend and if people don't open up their eyes and see what is going on around them so blatently obvious we are all screwed ... doesn't matter if you support Obama, McCain or friggin Mickey Mouse at that point.

Nice. Too many people don't realize we are played like fiddles often...in politics, the economy, media. Or they just don't want to realize it. Its the perception of Americans wanting control over as much as possible, but we don't want to know how much we are actually controlled overall.
We are tricked into thinking we have a real voice. Yeah, we can express ourselves on these forums or any other medium. Currently, in the end, all that matters is what the big-wigs decide.
This is not to say we should not have a voice. I am positing that we limit ourselves to the channels imposed upon us by the aforementioned systems (politics/media/etc) in society. Yet, here we are complaining change is not going to happen. That's what happens when we stratify ourselves in the system. (Note - this is different from simply thinking "outside of the box").

So they could impose their agenda. I don't think they knew it was comming but if you do some research instead of going witht he belief that Bush is god and can do no wrong you will see ALL the warning signs were there.
