Political Mailings
Saw something in another thread about it, so I thought I'd bring it up in it's own topic :-)
Anyone else been bombarded with flyers in their mailboxes? I have gotten at least 30 different flyers - today was a low day, with only 2...had a few days with 4 different. Not all are for president - some are for senate, and a few have been for congress. But, I am just surprised at the amount I have received.
I said about a week ago that I would like to see the candidates take the money that it costs to purchase the paper, design their ads, print their ads, and mail their ads and put it back into the economy. I'm sure the postal service is hurting for money too, but I think it would be better served elsewhere.
Thoughts/opinions?

I got a lot of calls from Obama earlier in the month, but not now. My mom is getting lots of McCain stuff in the mail though.

Don't know if It's because i'm an independant or what but I'm getting tons. Mostly from the republicans running for local and state office and a bunch from the RNC attacking obama.
I have had 3 people come to the door for Obama, I think in PA he is putting all his money into getting people out while the RNC is doing mailings..
They finally stopped coming to the door.
The first one asked if I was voting for Obama and I told her no, she than asked if I would be interested in helping get out the vote and work the phones for Obama????????????????????????
The second one asked if I was voting and I told him I was a felon and just got out after 10 years and couldn't vote..
Final one I told her I was an illegal alien and couldn't vote and out of the 50 people living in the house none could vote..
I don't know why they haven't come back?
