Bill Clinton Helping or Hurting
Is he helping Obama or hurting him? lol
Bill Clinton says at a rally that Barack Obama called a round of advisers during the height of the economic crisis and said, "tell me what ... to do."
"I haven't cleared this with him and he may even be mad at me for saying this so close to the election, but I know what else he said to his economic advisers (during the crisis)," Clinton told the crowd at a Wednesday night rally with Obama in Florida. "He said, 'Tell me what the right thing to do is. What's the right thing for America? Don't tell me what's popular. You tell me what's right -- I'll figure out how to sell it.'"

Helping, shows that when he isn't 100 percent sure on something he seeks the advise of people in the know and doesn't just fly off the handle..
I'm glad to see Bill out on the trail, now Al Gore. Where is Bush?

He's doing the best possible thing he can do for McCain's campaign...namely, staying out of it.

while I agree that all candidates should know when to ask advisors for help, I think it reveals a little about Obama. His line about figuring out how to sell it seems to me a microcosm of his entire campaign. He doesn't have the experience to be president, so he lets other people do all his thinking and he is the face that speaks well and can sell America on what others have come up with.
as for the thread question, I think it will be a neutral move. There will be those that think him asking for help shows he isn't ready and there will be just as many that think it is a good thing.

So it's better to panic, fake suspend your campaign and run to washington and screw things up. So at the first sign of trouble from another country we'll bomb them then think about it later?
