Downey Jr. Suiting Up for Iron Man 2!
Who didn't expect this? :)
Earlier this afternoon, Marvel sent out a press release officially announcing not only Jon Favreau's involvement as director on Iron Man 2 and executive producer on The Avengers, but also that as part of his four-picture deal, Robert Downey Jr. will indeed reprise the role of Tony Stark (aka Iron Man) in both Iron Man 2 (due out on May 7, 2010) and The Avengers movie due out July, 2011.

It's the only way to go...they basically had to give him whatever he wanted because after the job he did, it wouldn't be the same without him.
I love seeing my boy Favs doing good. I've been a HUGE fan of his since Swingers, which is still my favorite movie of all time.

I still have not seen Swingers! Made either. I hope they make this into a trilogy with Fav and Downey attached to all.

As many movies as you watch?! You HAVE to watch Swingers first because Made is basically the anti-Swingers and you don't catch everything if you haven't seen Swingers. I do highly recommend both though, I would have eithers babies.

I like Swingers...but not because of Fav...i think he's boring...Vince Vaughn made Swingers

Oh Vince stole the show no doubt. But Favreau wrote it...and Made. He's a really good actor, but he's better as a writer/director.
Swingers jump started a few careers. Favreau and Vaughn of course, but also Ron Livingston (Office Space, Band of Brothers), was one of Heather Graham's first good roles, and was Doug Liman's first directing success (since has had Go, The Bourne Identity, Mr & Mrs Smith, and Jumper).
