Knicks put Marbury on inactive list

Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni and Marbury met Friday and Marbury asked the coach if he was going to play. When told he would not be seeing action, Marbury reportedly requested he be put on the inactive list and D'Antoni and the guard mutually agreed to take that action for Friday's game.

I watched the video where Jalen Rose kinda jokes around about how it feels to be one of the last bench players that D'Antoni won't play. If he will not be playing Marbury why wouldn't they have told him sooner or traded him?

Who would really want Marbury? Not only his attitude, but his contract aswell. Besides, I don't evne think Marbury cares as long as he is getting paid.

Hard to part ways with a player who's making 20 million. Nobody wants that salary on their team. Whatever cap hit the Knicks take...they need to take it and cut him.

NONONONONO. Expiring contracts are key. We've suffered through him this long, there's no way they should cut him when he's finally attractive trade bait. Everyone wants expiring contracts.
