What would happen if Science disproves a higher power

There seems to be alot of Political topics on this Politics/Religion forum.

How would this world respond if all forms of religion were disproved?

People would undoubtedly still believe in them.

Lemmings off a cliff? No clue to be honest. I think it would leave many a people dumbfounded and unable to cope but not quite willing to accept it.

everyone would be scared of dying because they would know there is no afterlife and people would live life so cautiosly that the world would implode.

It would be a huge problem really...but how could all forms of religion be disproved? There are far too many beliefs in far too many things first of all, but even narrowing it down to most major religions, they're based on faith and there's hardly a way to prove anything until you're dead....

Rephrase: What if Science proves that we did come from dust that created us through evolution.

there are enough people who know that god has been active in their lives for that to destroy religion. Many religious people already have no issue with a God guided evolution to they probably wouldn't have an issue with that.

Then everyone would understand why I'm paying $75/month to be cryogenically frozen, and I'd end up paying $300/month.
