Didn't hit me at first
When my brother said he was going to vote for Mccain my father went off on him. As I was wheeling him down to the voting place it started to sink in that he was dead set on voting and getting Obama elected. As I set in the booth I voted for everyone except president (got them all right couple republicans couple dems and got Surra out of office
)..
As I started to vote for president I looked over at my mother helping him vote and realized that he will not be around for many more elections so I swallowed my pride and removed the Nadar check and voted for Obama.
To me it was just a vote and an election. As I watched him cry last night when it was announced it hit me that this was more then an election to some people and they see America different this morning(for better or worse)..
Then I read this and it really sunk in
