    game addictions

    hi all

there's a recent news story here in Canada about a boy running away from home because his parents took away his on-line game (call of duty).he ran away thanksgiving night and he was just recently found dead.they do not suspect foul play .having read an article about game addiction ,it looks like he may have committed suicide.truly a sad day.there is not enough knowledge on this type of addiction today.parents are in the dark about this.there is such intense anger felt by the addicted person that they commit suicide.

i'm not trying to preach to anyone, but what i hope by doing this thread is to make other parents and gamers aware of the dangers.if you feel your in that situation and don't know what to do. talk to someone whether you are a parent or gamer.any thoughts.

Isn't thanksgiving in a couple weeks?? I'm a little confused here.

Anyway, sounds like this kid had OTHER problems besides video games.
