SCF Racing Team Challenge - Chase Edition (Race 10)

Welcome to another running of the Racing Team Challenge!
This contest is open to anyone that wants to participate.

    Here are the basic rules:

    1. Pick 4 different drivers as your “team” that you think will have the best chance of finishing in the top 4 of the race. NO “TEAMS” HAVING ONE DRIVER MORE THAN ONCE FOR A RACE! HOWEVER YOU CAN CHOOSE THE SAME DRIVERS EVERY WEEK IF YOU WISH.

    2. The goal of this is to have the BEST average finish with the 4 drivers you pick.
Example: If someone picked the drivers that finished 2, 4, 10, 17 (average finish - 8.25) and if someone else picked the drivers that finished 6, 7, 12, 27 (average finish - 13). The one with the average finish 8.25 would win as it is the best.
    3. Picks and weekly tie breaker can be changed until the start of qualifying. Any changes to your post after qualifying starts will have you disqualified for the race.

    4. Since there is a weekly winner, a tie breaker is needed. The tie breaker to help determine the weekly winner is:

    1. Without going over, where will Dale Earnhardt Jr. finish in this race?

Guesses for this will be first come first serve for this tie breaker, so please check everyone else's guess before making your own. IF EVERYONE GOES OVER, IT WILL BE THE CLOSEST BUT ONLY IF EVERYONE GOES OVER WITH THEIR GUESS.
NOTE: THE OVERALL TIE BREAKERS HAVE BEEN REMOVED AS THEY NEEDED TO BE ANSWERED BY THE START OF QUALIFYING FOR RACE 7.

    5. Missing a race from this or getting disqualified will get you an average finish of 45.5. That is the average finish for positions 44, 45, 46, 47. So make sure you don’t miss a race or get disqualified!

    6. The member that has the best average finish for each race will be awarded the weekly winner prize mentioned below. The member that has the lowest combined total from their average finishes will be awarded the overall winner prize mentioned below.

    7. Most important rule is to have fun doing this as well as watching the race.

    PRIZES:
    Weekly winner:
    100cc

    Overall winner:
2007 Press Pass Double Burner Metal-Tire DB-DH Denny Hamlin
    DALE (6 DVD set)

Picks MUST be replied to this thread (do not PM me your picks) before the start of qualifying.

    Qualifying:
    Ford 400 qualifying
    Friday, November 14 - 3:00pm ESPN2

    The race:
    Ford 400 - Homestead-Miami Speedway
    Sunday, November 16 - 3:00pm ABC

    The RTC Post-Race Report

The results are in and the standings have been updated. They can be seen here: https://www.sportscardforum.com/showthread.php?t=574815

Thanks everyone for taking part in this. Congrats to the weekly winner...maple19. This is your second win during this! Your weekly prize will be taken care of soon.

    CONGRATS TO BGNFAN4GOD!

It was a hard fought battle, but when it was all over, he was the last man standing. So, congrats on your overall win, and your prizes for winning this will be taken care of soon!

Are any of you bummed by your performance during this? Don't be as I have some good news for you! After some trial runs this year, Racing Team Challenge is scheduled for a full season run in 2009! There will be some bonuses for it, and overall should be fun to both watch and participate in. So, get ready as you will have more chances to win!

    Darin
