Bernard Berrian & Ben Leber
Viking's WR Bernard Berrian was doing a signing at a Best Buy in Richfield, MN tonight, so got him to sign a football for me. LB Ben Leber was hosting his weekly radio show at Joe Senser's sports bar in Bloomington a couple of miles down from where Bernard was signing, so went and got his sig on that same football as well.

Congrats on the autographs. I did want to let you know that unless you are working a themed item that it is usually better to get autographs on individual items. Ask anyone who has gotten a partial team ball signed only to find out that as a partial signed item it is not a complete team ball and can run less desirable than an individual star signed item. For instance I started a football for QB's at the combines one year. Carson Parmer was the first to sign it. It looked great! I then added the autographs of four other QB's at the combines and it looked worse and lost some luster. Ken Dorsey and the other guys just really did nothing to make the ball more interesting to an Bengals fan. Dorsey might have been OK had I found an U of Miami fan, but that USC QB/Bengal would not interest them. See the delima? Themed balls are fun though. I was able to get a few family balls ( BJ Dustin Upton and AARon Bret and Bob Boone.) I liked those and the 500 HR combo items are always one of the hottest things out there. Collect what you like, but just remember you may want to trade an auto or even sell it somewhere down the line and having multiple on one items can hinder those activities.

Of course, I know that already. I've got single signed in-person footballs and other memorabilias as well. Like if I was to meet Adrian Peterson, I would probably get him to sign a football and leave that football with his signature alone. I have another football that is signed by 13 current Vikings players, both defense and offense. I'm thinking about starting a theme with 3 footballs separated by the Vikings' offense, defense, and special team. This current one I'm working on is an attempt to get starting offensive players on one side and starting defensive players on the other. Also, I'm not intending on trading nor selling my autographed memorabilias any time soon. I'm pretty much keeping these as keepsake collectibles, which seems rare nowadays with so many people flipping to make a quick buck or two when they obtain autographs.
