pgrossma-(Alan Trammell)
I'd like to congratulate pgrossma on having an outstanding Alan Trammell collection. Here are his statistics:
*Beckett checklist completion: 936/1259 74.3%
*Beckett checklist completion for playing days (1978-1997): 546/563 97.0%. Most of the items I'm missing here are not cards (buttons, a couple stickers, etc).
*127 of the cards I don't have are 1/1
*My checklist completion: 1019/1293 78.8%
*My checklist completion for playing days (1978-1997): 589/608 96.9% All 19 missing cards are error/variations or press plates.
*127 of the cards I don't have are 1/1
The above checklists both contain cards I have that are not on the other list (including 1/1s--the matching count is coincidence). The combined stats are 1109/1487.
One of the particularly noteworthy aspects of my collection is that it touches on all niches of player collecting. Some numbers to back this statement up:
*291 serially numbered cards; 42 numbered to less than 25, 5 1/1.
*138 game-used cards
*131 autograph cards (42 of these are also counted in the gu count as they are combos)
*I am ranked #4 on the PSA Set Registry for my Trammell Basic set (92/124 cards,63 10s, 29 9s including '78 Topps). The set can be viewed at http://www.psacard.com/SetRegistry/a...t.aspx?s=43105
*70 error/misprint/variation cards including a '78 Topps Blank Back.
*45 stickers
*2 random appearances in photos on player's cards ('93 UD Scott Fletcher, '92 Donruss Joel Skinner); note these are not on my checklist.
*2 porcelain cards, 1 hand-painted cachet (print run 50), 1 placemat, and one popsicle stick.
Some of the more unusual material (including most of the <25 print run cards) can be seen in my museum page:
http://www.trammellcards.com/museum/peterg/index.html
The larger-print-run portion of the post-retirement section of my collection is not well documented online; I can provide images for many of these cards if needed (particularly for cards issued in 2000-2003).
Why I collect Trammell can be seen here:

Let me know if you need further convincing.
I've seen Peter's collection, as well as his knowledge of the cards in his collection before, and I've always been impressed. So, congratulations Peter!

not sure if i am more impressed by your percentage or the fact you have all those cards listed.
That is probally the hardest part of collecting, keeping a list of them, i always intend to, but never do.
GREAT JOB AND GREAT COLLECTION!!!

Another collection that I've been in awe of, especially as a Tiger's fan and growing up watching Tram play.
Congrats on the SC status!

Thanks to all for the kind words. I particularly appreciate Jay's allusion to my checklist--it is definitely true that checklist maintenance can be a big part of player collecting, and it's something that I work at harder than most.
