Is there really nothing better to do? I'm very surprised that kids, nowadays, have no interest in sports or hobbies, other than video games. But, what can you expect when you stare at a screen for 24 straight hours?

    Love this line:

"The boy is expected to make a full recovery but his father said he plans on limiting the amount of time his son is allowed to play computer games."

He probably should have been monitoring this before his son played himself into a seizure.

Yeah, we '80s babies can still remember our childhood before the Internet and games became so sophisticated and ubiquitous that kids basically stopped going outside and playing like they once did (I played football and pretend army wars as a kid almost every day).

I was relieved to see some of my neighbors' kids going outside a little bit this summer, but it's still probably not common enough. I can understand getting engrossed in a game for several hours, but 24? I think I have stayed up 24 hours two times in my life, and I definitely wasn't doing the same thing the whole day.

I think I played San Andreas and Final Fantasy VI for about ten hours on separate occasions. It was exhausting, lol.

this kid defintly is a looser to play video games that long, i think the longest continuously playing a video game for me is 3 hours; MLB06 the show, Smackdown Vs Raw i've played 2 hours without stopping, and madden for 2 hours without stopping, i really dont play much video games during the school year, since theres not much time to do so though

I only play video games at night though, but the most time I've spent in one sitting was 4 hours on Madden 09 and NBA 2K9 on separate occasions. Then, I fell asleep, lol.

If you play a video game for 24 straight hours, you deserve to collapse.
