Any german historical buffs on SCF
This is a reach but I thought i would see who knows about german history.
I have a membership booklet for what appears to be the german metalworkers union. It is the
Deutl(? on letter)cher Metallarbeiter-Verband
Mitgliedsbuch
Now I don't think this is a very valuable document, but I would like to understand more about it. It appears to have a birth certificate located within the document along with some other notes about the union(I don't speak german at all)
the document appears to be dated 1912 pre Hitler era.
Rather unique IMHO, any info would help.

Dunno. Might we WWI related. That would be pretty cool. If you find the word "Lusitania" in the document anywhere call the Smithsonian. :-)

I actually found a better translation site and it turns out that we have a birth certificate and membership book for the metalworkers association of Germany in 1912. It surely spells HOLLYWOOD to go hunt down the ancestors of this family and give it back to them LoL

My mom was a very close friend of the German royal family, so maybe she has heard about it. I'll ask her in the morning. Very interesting piece! If you would happen to have some sort of picture, I would love to see it! Thanks for sharing!
