Decorating for Christmas

When will you start putting up your Christmas decorations?

About two weeks ago people around here started putting stuff up. Thats a bit early. Maybe if they didnt actually turn the lights on yet it'd be better. We usually wait until the week or two after Thanksgiving. We put grandma's tree up last night (she likes it up early) and I got up this morning and theres decorations everywhere!
Do you usually decorate a lot? A little?

We don't do a whole lot, but my family usually does it the Sunday after Thanksgiving. I used to think it was dumb starting earlier every year, but I don't think so any more. It's gotten to the point that time flies so fast that you barely have time to get in the Christmas spirit before it has come and gone. So starting earlier just means you have longer to enjoy that Christmas feeling, which is A OK by me.

I live on an Air Force base and 5 of my neighbors already puit up their decorations. I am going to wait since I am moving to a 4 bedroom house across the street (I am going to be a daddy again). I already bought some of the stuff.

First of all, congrats on being a daddy again! How exciting is that?!

We usually put up our decorations on the weekend after Thanksgiving. I LOVE the Christmas season so I'll put on some Christmas music, light an Evergreen candle (those things smell so good!) and put up our stuff.

I wanted to start a new tradition a few years back where we bought a tree on Christmas eve...the wife and kids didn't agree that was such a hot idea!

I loove the Christmas feeling..its one of my favorite times of year! I think Shayne and I are going to decorate our room this weekend but we'll wait a week or two to decorate the rest of the house and outside.
