My first update, and it's a good one. I sent letters out to Mayo, Stuffel, Caballero and Miller last Saturday, requesting their permission to send them my photo, and explaining that I'd be more than happy to send money for their time.
The first came back this Saturday from Jackie Mayo, Who wrote, "OK, No Problem, and don't send Money". I'll give him 10 bucks anyway.
Two more cam back today. The first was from Paul Stuffel, who wrote, "Yes, I'd be very happy to sign your picture." He corrected his address as
25786 Buttercup Ct
Bonita Springs, Fl
34135
Last but not least was from Ralph Caballero, who wrote, "He'd be glad to." He corrected his address as:
6773 Milne Blvd
New Orleans, La
70124
This is great, I'm still waiting on a response from Bob Miller, but either way, this is going well. Thanks again to Maple19 for the tips, you are the best!! I'll be mailing my first attempt out to Jackie Mayo on Thursday, I'll posts all updates,

I got Jackie Mayo back today. He did return my money, which was nice of him. He also signed the photo. Unfortunately, he signed it in blue ink pen, and it is difficult to see. It's a shame, you have to squint to see it, but it's a sharp signature. I'll be sending a blue sharpie out with the rest of my requests. I'm dropping it off to Putsy Caballero on tonight, wish me luck!

some of the old guys still use the ink pens and you get back a so so auto. Its still nice of them to autograph though.
I got out an ed bouchee, and a bob miller. Still trying to find a photo of putsy caballero.
will show my results when I get them back.
Im sure the holidays are slowing the mail, and also thr response time of the players. Just have to be patient.

I got Mr Caballero back today. He signed it nicely over his photo and included "1950" Whiz Kids". It looks nice and only took ten days. I did use the New Orleans Address. I'm off to Bob Miller next.

That is a great photo of the team. I wonder where you got something like that? Wonder if you could contact the Phillies organization or something?
I got back a Jim Miller just today after I had seen your post. He signed a 5x7 photo that I shopped. Thanks for the addy and good luck on your quest!
