Flashback Time - Favorite Moment From 2001
I actually had a prediction poll planned for this week, but have decided to hold off on it, and do this one.
So, it has been 7 (almost 8) years since these have happened. Which one is your favorite?
2001 Dura Lube 400 - Steve Park wins the Cup race a week after Dale Sr.'s death
2001 Cracker Barrel 500 - Kevin Harvick wins in only his third Cup race
2001 Pepsi 400 - Dale Earnhardt Jr. wins the first Cup race back to Daytona
Which one is your favorite? Do you like them all? Have another favorite racing moment from 2001?
For me, it is simple. I like them all above! Then again, I am the one that came up with this!
So what about you? What was your favorite racing moment from 2001? If it is another moment from 2001, please explain.
Please keep the comments for this civil. If someone offends you, do not respond back immediately. Walk away from it and think about your response. It might look good to you to defend yourself or your driver(s), but at the same time it could offend the other person involved & start a fight. Sure to some, the best payback is just to do the same back to them. Take the high road in a discussion, and don’t keep adding fuel to the fire. Also, while some of you may not like how the sport is currently being operated, it is asked of you to please refrain from slamming it in any way during these discussions or polls.

They all put a big ol' lump in my throat! I became a Harvick fan that day he won and held off Gordon!

If I had to pick, I'd go with Harvick's first win. That was pretty awesome....and I remember absolutely INCREDIBLE racing among the Top-5 the last 20 or so laps. (Only reason I really remember is because Nadeau was one of the top 5, lol!)

Gotta go with 'other' on this one. My fondest memory of 2001 will always be Robby Gordon spinning Jeff Gordon to win the season finale at Loudon, NH on Thanksgiving weekend! That day turned out to have great weather and great racing, even though many of us were joking that Goodyear would probably need to bring snow tires for that race!
