I was looking over my '96 Assets Cup Champion Interactive phone cards, and I noticed something strange about the back of my $1,000 Field Card. Here's a pic of the four cards in my Musgrave collection:



The top two are the $100 card and the bottom two are the $1,000. Notice the "Scratch here to reveal PIN" area and the font of the Batch #. I checked all of the other $100 cards and a $1,000 card that I have in my trade stock, and they all look the same as the $100 and $1,000 #15 shown here. If the only difference were in the PIN concealment area, I would assume that the card had been used, and the PIN reconcealed to make it look new again. I really couldn't blame someone for that, it was the winning card worth $1,000 in phone time after all. But the difference in font on the batch number is bugging me. Could this card just be from a different segment of the print run, and as such came out looking different? On the other hand, could it have been an unissued card that someone printed a batch # and PIN concealment on after the fact to make it look like a genuine pack-pulled insert?

Things that make you go Hmmmm......

If you think this is something other than Genuine, I'm curious, if a card like this were in your collection, would you care?

One other point, is anyone else having trouble with their phone cards yellowing? You can see in the scan of the backs, some of my phone cards are darker than others. They are all stored in penny sleeves in 9-pocket pages.
