Google Street View: Creepy or cool?

I will first say that Google has some great technology! But I can't help feel that this is creepy! :) Is your street on there?

Creepy and cool. Depends on what you're looking for .

My street is not on there. In my area at least, none of the neighborhood streets have that feature.

How do they got those images? Are they from satellites too or are they taken from right there on the road? Seems like a satellite couldn't get than kind of a shot.

They drive by in trucks, that's how they get he whole street shots. Every now and then I've seen them.

I think they have a rule about not including people in the pictures, so out goes the chance for any surprise shots of that guy stealing your car stereo...

I think it is cool to be able to have access to all this. At the same time is sort of creepy if someone can find the way to exploit it and try to invade your privacy
