    Blazers trading for Mike Conley?

The Portland Trail Blazers and Memphis Grizzlies are seriously discussing a multiplayer trade that centers on the exchange of forward Travis Outlaw and point guard Mike Conley, league sources said Friday.

The talks have been ongoing for weeks, sources said, and could be inching toward a completion.

I wonder if Conley would be the starter in Portland if this goes through....seems like a decent deal to me, for Portland anyway...and Memphis too, as they have too many guards.

this doesnt make a whole lot of sense to me for portland. Why would you draft a pg at 11 in the draft, not give him much playing time, and then look to trade for another pg? They really must not be sold on bayless

Main reason behind this? Putting Oden and Conley back together.

The Blazers have NO NEED for Conley. Brandon Roy runs the offense, Rudy Fernandez is a beast as Roy's backup, and Steve Blake is a solid "point guard" for Portland as it is, and I haven't even mentioned Bayless.

Doesnt make much sense to me either, Outlaw is a big "energy" player for Portland and like Jeremy mentioned, the only reason i could see for this is to get Conley & Oden back together

we need to get rid of oden, keep outlaw and not look for any more pgs lol. oden is soft, he's going to take 2 more years to develop. you say its to reunite conley & oden? what are they going to do, come in off the bench together??? kevin pritchard is smarter than this, don't trade outlaw!!

I like Conley, he's a good point guard with potential. He had a good game last night, and he seems to be improving. But i will say this, the 1 thing the Grizzlies really need is help down in the post.

Yea, that's exactly what would happen. They've had great chemistry their entire basketball careers. What other reason would there be behind the trade?

It's so Oden and Conley can be back together.

I agree, the Blazers really have no use for Conley.
