2004 Playoff Contenders AUTO set Complete...Take a Look!!!
In 2004, I purchased a couple boxes of Playoff Contenders Football cards. I did this mainly because each box contained four AUTO cards per. Once I opened my two boxes and was holding eight AUTO cards, I thought why not collect the entire set. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine it would take four years to complete the AUTO set. But guess what...I did it! I now have all FIFTY AUTO cards in this set. The last card, #151 LARRY FITZGERALD, was the last one I needed. It was the last one for good reason too...There were only fifty of these made and it has a BV of $750. I worked out a deal with a guy on eBay and purchased this card for $400. Normally I would never spend that much on a single card, but this was the LAST ONE that I needed...I had to. There are some "Heavy Hitters" in this AUTO set.

thats amazing! nice set...nice scoop on the Larry Fitz SP, at least he's a stud. Unlike the big short pring in the 07 set (kenny irons) that was fetching a couple hundred bucks. Way to go!

Congrats! You might guess I attempted this set by my screen name. I ended up getting about 6 autos short but they were the big names. (Eli, Ben, Fitz, Rivers etc...) Congradulations though on the completion and nice fitz!

I'm tossing up the idea of getting each card graded. What do you all think?
