this is dumb. as a sixers fan, i am discusted in the turn we are taking. its not his fault that the management cant give him a decent shot. he took a nobody team to the playoffs last year. and it isnt like we have had the easiest schedule. detroit, boston, cleveland, lakers, cleveland again. ™™™. this is stupid. mo cheeks is the most inspiring person to me in the game of basketball. he actually cares for the players and the fans. i cant even watch the sixers anymore.

I don't understand the management of this team...

I'm not saying Cheeks is great, but what can a coach do with this team at this stage?

Elton Brand hasn't even played a full season with team, not to mention he hasn't played a lot last season.

There are no shooters. I have no idea why the traded Korver.

Without shooters, AI can't do anything especially with Brand clogged in the middle.

i partly agree with that.

i agree with the part where you say brand hasnt even played a full season, hell, he hasnt even played half of a season with them yet, and they give up on them that quick. dumb.

i dont agree with the statement about a coach cant do much with this team. there team has a lot to work ewith. the height in dalembert, brand, ratliff, and speights. the shooting in thad, brand, and miller. the PG skills in miller and lou, and then a great rookie in speights. but you have to give mo cheeks a chance to work with them here. COME ON PHILI!!! you look like clowns right now.

every time i go to phili games he signs things before the game, talks with the fans, and even jokes on his players. im not saying thats a reason to keep him, but he showed his potential with a crap team last year, and they go and do this to him, what a joke.

no mo cheeks = no fun, no wins, nothing.

There were rumors earlier in the week that this may happen and that Flip Saunders would be his replacement.

If they (management) were thinking that they would mesh instantly like the Celtics did last year, they were in for a rude awakening...that's not common...usually it takes some time for everyone to get used to each other. No different with the 76ers. Bad desicion by the 76ers front office. This'll hurt them more than help.

What the heck is going on this season? He's the fifth coach to go down; the third I thought was premature. Man oh man. Sixers are disappointing so far but fire your coach less than a third into the season?

Poor guy. I'm sure the fans were booing the decision and not Coach DiLeo, but it's still gotta suck. Oh well. What do you expect? dont really know what that has to do with how the fans respond to an action, but ok.

and yes, i agree, they were more booing the actions then DiLeo. when Stefanski (GM) walked ou-t i heard there were boo's too and one guy shouted some rude remark, which i forget what it was. oh wel, Stefanski deserves it, what a jerk. how can an interm do better then a real coach, a phili native, a HOFer, a guy whos # is retired (10) and whos been to the finals WITH phili 3 times and won once.

they shouldve given him the rest of the year to work with like last year. an interm with no coaching experience cant do better then a real coach.

and look at the last 5 games we played with cheeks:

nets
lakers
pistons

its not exactly like we have had the easiest schedule.

i will support the sixers, not Stefanski or DiLeo.

Brand doesn't shoot beyond the 3 point line. Miller is a horrible 3 point field goal shooter, and Young might be your best shooter, and from the past, he seems like a streaky shooter.

With a dominant big man like Brand, you need shooters that spaces the floor. I bet you right now, that you and the Sixers want Korver right now.
