Carl Edwards is the best driver in the world....its official!
carl edwards wins tag heuer award at the race of champions

NASCAR ace Carl Edwards was awarded the inaugural TAG Heuer Racing Award at today’s Race of Champions preview press conference.
The Award was set up by TAG Heuer this year to attempt to determine who is the best racing driver in the world. A team of eight jurors has statistically analysed the weekly performances of more than 150 drivers from F1, GP2, NASCAR and the World Rally Championship.
Edwards’ nine victories in this year’s NASCAR championship saw him finish ahead of the likes of five times World Rally Champion Sebastien Loeb and 2008 F1 World Championship protagonists, Felipe Massa and eventual champion, Lewis Hamilton.
Anoine Pin, MD of TAG Heuer UK, presented Edwards with a trophy and a Grand Carrera Chonograph watch, saying: “On behalf of TAG Heuer, we present you with this award for your achievement and your talent.”
“It’s a real honour to receive this award,” said Edwards. “It’s a really nice award, and a beautiful watch. Thank you very much.”
Edwards has been drawn to race ROC debutant Jaime Alguersuari in the first round of The Race of Champions tomorrow (Sunday, Dec 14). The ROC starts at 5.30pm tomorrow.

Update as to how Carl did representing USA in the Race of Champions-USA lost in the team deal-Carl goofed turn 1, but in the real ROC Carl made it all the way to the final four.
He beat some F3 driver from Spain in round 1...
and then in round 2-he beat 7 time F1 World Champ Michael Schumacher-by at least 2 seconds! I was so freaking out!!! The British announcers were saying it was upset of the century hahahaha. Carl drove great and he was having a good time-he lost to David Coulthard in the semis by a little bit-almost made it-he represented Nascar very well-he beat prob the best F1 driver in history so i cant complain.
For those wonderin who won-in the team competition-team Germany won-Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel.
In the single competiton rally driver Sebastian Loeb beat Coulthard in the finals.
But it was a great show for 5 hrs this morning for me!
