    Silly Toploader Question

Am trying to get started again, and ordering supplies. Looking at UltraPro top loaders. What is difference/need for the standard top loaders and those that say for 'extra thick' cards? The only cards I collect that may be 'thicker' are 1951 Topps red and blue backs. Do those qualify as thicker? What about the new cards with relics, etc. Do they fit in standard toploaders or do you need the thicker ones?

    Thanks,
    Mark

Extra thick toploaders are meant for newer game used bat and jersey cards predominately, although even some newer insert cards are also too thick for regular toploaders. Your 51 Topps cards should fit fine into normal toploaders, although I must admit I don't have any cards from that set so I can't say for sure.

If your collection is pre-dominately vintage and older Topps cards (meaning few newer gu cards), I would reccomend only buying the regular issue toploaders.

if i were you i would get some regular toploaders, and also some for up to 100pt cards. you're not going to need the extra thick for cards around 120pt.
