    POLL: Greatest Drummer

Ok, we did the singers, now for the guys in the back. I figured we could find the best at each instrument and create the super group of all time. These guys aren't as noticed as the singers and guitarists, so it's a lot harder to pick who's better than who (unless you are a drummer, then you know who's who). I got the guys on this list from a couple of compilation lists I found online, the main one coming from DigitalDreamDoor.com (lots of great lists related to music).

I voted Bruford. I hardly noticed drums in music before until I heard him play for Yes and KC; simply amazing.

Not even a contest here, Neal Peart is the best drummer. Bonzo was a great drummer, but I still have to take Peart over him.

Sorry man, if you're referring to that Blink 182 drummer, he doesn't even deserve to be mentioned in the same sentece as some of the drummers listed.

I'm going to go with Danny Carey, he's had some of the hardest material for drummers around, the wicked combos and change in pace that half the drummers on the list would have a hard time with

I hate Rush, absolutely hate them....but Peart is pretty amazing.

I disagree ... Barker is a great drummer and could be mentioned, along with Tommy Lee as well.

But I will agree with you and say Peart already wins this competition .... close it down, it's obvious!
