help needed.....
im going to build a set but im not sure what to do, it'll onlyb e the base set of cards as i dont hage too much $ to burn on the thing. just want something that looks good. if anyone knows of a good looking set i can build by purchasing 1 box and picking up the rest on these boards any help would be appreciated. and if u have a scan of the base card id appreciate that as well thanks.

You could look at the company websites like topps.com, fleer.com, and upperdeck.com and they have pictures of all their cards. Then you can look up the price of a box at dacardworld.com
You could also call your local card store for prices. Some cards are cheaper on the internet and some are cheaper in the regular store.
I just started collecting again about 4 months ago. I bought a box of 2003 Topps and it was a really nice set. They arent too flashy, but they look pretty good. Its about $65 a box, maybe cheaper at dacardworld.com. Topps Chrome is a lot nicer, they go for about $85 a box in the store.
I started with that one box, and since then i try to save up as much money a month as i can. The sets i like are Topps, Topps Chrome, SP Authentic, and Fleer Focus.

I worked on fleer focus football.. its a relativly cheap box for the set its self.. I need about 10 cards right now from the original box and ill have the base set complete.. That and you get two memorabilia cards per box.. one or both combined could get ur moneys back if ur lucky enuf
