Game 1: deadline is 10 pm EST / 7 pm PST on date noted above:
#7 seed Houston
At
#2 seed LA Lakers
First, there was Kobe rape trial
Second, there were injuries to Karl (39 games), Shaq, and Kobe
Third, the usual bickering amongst the Lakers (aka Shaq and Kobe)
Fourth, Kobe purposely tanking last Sunday’s game at Sacramento, before “redeeming” himself with a 45-point performance vs. Golden and an INCREDIBLE JORDANESQUE performance in the last game of the season at Portland, hitting a game tying 3-pointer to get to OT, then hitting a game winning 3-pointer with 1 second left in double OT
And through it all, Lakers still managed to “win” the Pacific Division…..only b/c Sacramento played like sh*t, going 8-11 in their last 19 games
Will the Lakers play defense? If yes, they win game 1 vs. Houston. If no, they’re gonna be blown to bits.
