SITE WENT DOWN BEFORE AUCTIONS ENDED (POLL)
I had a few auctions listed and the site went down prior to the end of the auction. I received a few PM's in reference to the auctions. Some of the bidders didn't get a chance to get in on the auctions because the site went down. I am definately not looking to get more CC (I have more than I know what to do with!) But I do want to be fair to everyone. Here's the questions I ask to everyone and I really would appreciate the input. Do I take the last bid posted prior to the site going down? Or do I relist the auction? I posted a poll above. Whichever poll question gets the greater percentile by 7PM EST on Monday April 19, 2004 will be the route I take. I figured this would be the fairest way to resolve this. If any Moderators have any thoughts or suggestions please PM me or place a post.
Thanks in advance for everyone's time and input! Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

I would contact the highest bidders and ask them if that is fine, to relist the auction. If they say yes, ask them if they want there bid to still be in place. If they do, start the bidding at there prior bid and say that thats "someones" bid. I dont know, but thats probably what I would do.
Hope this helps.

Relist the auctions and let those who did bid know that you did that so they would re-bid again. Just my opinion.

Yeah, I agree with giants1249er. That would probably be the best thing to do.

You might want to do what ebay would do in the same situation. I'm sure they have a plan in place if their server were to go down.

Yeah do that.
If eBay goes down which they do they just extend the auctions by whatever hours they miss.
I haven't been able to get on this site and make more than 3 posts since Wednesday night so relisting them wouldn't be a problem with me.
Doesn't make sense that you should miss out and take a hit on getting less for the auctions because nobody could get on for the past couple of days.
If you want just contact the bidders and sometime this week relist them after you let them know. That seems to be the fairest way you could do it.Selling all my cards here updated as of July------------> Hidden Content

Well, seeing as how I'm winning the Giambi I need, I still agree with relisting them.
It's only fair since the site was down.

I don't think you should have to restart them, just extend the time with the high bidders on each remaining the high bidders when they restart.
