MLB Game-Used Baseballs!
Hello everyone!
I primarily collect certified basketball autograph cards and some patch cards, but a few days ago I'd aquired 31 MLB Game-Used baseballs, each certified by Upper Deck with it's own traceable history to see what game the ball was used in!
I am suppose to receive them in the mail sometime in January from Upper Deck.
My question is, what sort of trade value should I expect to receive for these roughly? High and low prices, highest price meaning a real hot match-up such as Yankees vs Redsox, while lowest prices resembling not so hot match-ups.
Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated, I'm hoping to trade some of these away for certified auto basketball cards and just need to know what direction to be shooting in without giving them away, or offending folks =)

wow. that.s new. ud. is selling game balls. i think they will be cool with certain collectors. but. i think the value would be for certain more if they were autoed by a player from that game. i guess that.s what i would do if i had them. as they are. iam pretty sure. they won,t bring as much as an auto ball. so to ask for autos in trade for . them. hummm. but if you got a good deal for the lot. well. you never know. .

I've seen them on MLB.com w/ bad game balls in the 20's and 30's and good games in the 60's
That's a little overpriced, though
expect no less than $3-10 for the worst balls

Jmarlin9 - Thank you very much for the direct and specific information^^
Tbigger13 - I will let you know if I get any =)
Desertdogg - I thought about getting some of them auto'd, but that would kill the value of them considering they wouldn't be certified, most people don't trade for in person autos, and if they do, they pretty much expect to get the item next to free considering nobody has any clue whether or not the auto is authentic or not. =p

I don't think having them signed would make them worth any less.
Frankly, They couldn't be worth much less.
Just like all the crap gu that's out there.
If you actually read the back of the cards. In most cases, your supposed David Ortiz game used jersey card is just as likely to be from a Julio Lugo Spring Training game jersey. For older balls there is no way to tell what game they are from or if they we're from bp....there was no authentication process.
It's all just more hype from the greedy companies that fleece you with false advertising, fake rookie cards and shortprinted overpriced "error cards".
Don't get me wrong, I love this Hobby. But, don't believe the Hype!
Happy Holidays!

19kgreen64 - lol, sounds like a typical conversation me and the boys have here at home. Whether or not the autos are authentic, whether or not the jerseys are real or phony, whether or not the Jordan game used jersey is his or BJ Armstrong's, etc.. I see where you are coming from, as I've felt the same as you do at times, but in the same respect, if you're in this hobby and collect autos and game used, you just have to accept them to be authentic and for what they say that they are, otherwise you'll be sitting around with a bunch of cardboard in question, unhappy with what you're doing.
I like the idea of the 31 game used baseballs coming to my house, and would expect them to carry some sort of decent value, but if in fact they were all used in AAA games, that would suck, but I'd never know any better =\
To everyone else, I'm just curious to know opinions as to what you would think to be the high and low Beckett values of these, if in fact they were listed in Beckett =)
Happy Hollidays everyone!
