New Member, Need Help
Whats up guys I'm new here and had a couple questions...
1-When I add cards to my collection it asks me the card type (base, insert, parallel) but I honestly have no idea what this means.
2-In the Classifications section what do "game used" "race used" and "press plate" mean?
3-Do all cards have serial numbers on them and if so where are they?
4-If I have a set of cards do I add them individually or as a set? If I add it as a set how do I do that and if individually how do I indicate that it is a set?
Obviously I'm new as hell to this kinda thing so I appreciate any help.
Peace

Hey there, welcome to SCF!
1- for card type base is the cards that are part of the regular set. insert is like a subset that is harder to get (for example, 1 in every 5 packs). parallel is a parallel to the base set, meaning it is a variation of the same card from the regular set (for example, there is regular topps, but there might also be topps black or topps gold)
2- Game Used would be cards that have a game used jersey or ball or hat etc. Race used would be the same thing but for racing cards. press plates are a 1 of 1 card that is used to create/print the regular card.
3- A serial number is when there is only a certain number of a certain card made. So for example, if you see something like "105/299" on the back or front of the card (usually stamped in gold, but sometimes not) then only 299 exist.
4- I'm not really sure, but to make it easier just add it as a set and instead of player name you could type in Full Set or something.
Hope this helps!! If you haven't already check out the tutorial for the Inventory system -- https://www.sportscardforum.com/showthread.php?t=410300
And, to get an idea of some of the cards here's some links to my cards
this is a Game Used type card (it is also serial numbered on the front)
