    official dahntay jones thread

just to copy all the other "official" threads i thought i might start one of my hometown hero Duke basketball player Dahntay Jones from Hamilton not Trenton, NJ. He looks to be a 2nd secound draft pick most likely to either the wizards or the bulls. I would like to see drafted to a worse team because then he will get to play more. I will update this when i get new info

Didn't he play linebacker for Michigan a few years ago, and now with the Giants.

well, this is a first....the first official thread dedicated solely to a player.

Keep up the good work -- not sure how often he's going to make news, vs., say, someone like Lebron

No, that's Dhani Jones. Dahntay Jones used to play for Rutgers but transferred to Duke.

yeah this is the dahntay jones who played for Duke after transferring from Rutgers. He had some monster dunks like that one vs UVA like you said. Too bad he didnt win the college slam dunk contest though, he messed up on his dunk in the finals.
Update: Jones should move up a few picks because of the withdrawal of lottery pick pavel podklozine as well as borderline 1st rounders and high second rounders jameer nelson, chris thomas, erazem lorbek and charlie villanueva. I think he could go as high as 33 or 34 but most nba draft sites with mock drafts have him goin between 36-41

Not much to report or updat, the draft is 4 days away and jones is looking like a mid-2nd rounder.

i think chicago would be a good fit because even though they have Jalen Rose and Jamal Crawford at the guard spots, with Jwill out , dahntay would get alot of playing time at the 2 and 3 positions
