that is a very cool auto on a stub! I got a 5x7 of him turning 2 over lonnie smith from that series. (Smith was also a Phillie for awhile) and may send to him as well. I did get a response from lonnie on a ball card. Should i do it?

Hey Pete,
You sure it's Lonnie Smith? He was on the 80 team. He played with the Phils from 1978 to 1981, and didn't go to the Royals until midway through the 85 season. He was with the Cards from 82-85. Bowa was already gone by then.

Maybe I am wrong, but I am pretty sure that it was a guy named smith. thought it would be lonnie. I have to find the photo and double check. Sorry for the bad info...

you know, when I went back, it was frank white. 5 letters, just wrong name. Im sorry for posting this here, waste of your time. Either way, I got a nice bowa autograph via home addy about 3 mos. ago.
Im on a similar quest for Phillies autos like you. I will post any and all that I have in a PM if you want. I got a few older ones(50's) and many from the 80's and 90's.
I have several out for the 80's team but havent heard back yet. Rose signs thru field of dreams, schmidt you will have to pay. those are the biggest names on the team but for the smaller names, it may take some time as I have sent to a few guys (long ago) and never heard back.
I bet we can both get this done with each others help.

Yeah, I've pretty much posted all the addresses I have thus far. I just sent out to Christenson yesterday. I was going to go after Lonnie Smith after that, then probably hang onto it for a bit because I can bang out all of those guys at that show I posted the info about.

I just received Lonnie Smith back today after just 9 days. I'll be taking a break, because I'm going to Spring Training and figured I might have luck with Noles and Unser down there.

what dates are you going to be in clearwater? I am going as well but unsure as to what days. I think its the 9th to the 14th of march
