Yeah that's just about the only thing that is cool about them. Seems like a gimmick to me.

Agree with that. That's one of the reasons I hate A&G.

UV-coating! Gold-foil stamping! Oh wait, that's the 1992 Fleer Ultra commercial...

I'm against the lack of low-end cards. Old fashioned cardstock was a lot easier to shuffle thru than all this glossy junk. I was even OK with the card stock of 1993 Topps, but anything beyond that is a pain if you're trying to sort cards. They either stick together or feel Teflon coated and slip out of the stack. And a lot of this foil stamped name stuff is just very difficult to read in any light.

It's also very easy to get fingerprints on waxy coated cards. I learned long ago to handle only by the card's edges, and to wipe off any accidental prints with microfiber cloth.

94-95 Ultra basketball was the worst offender in cards sticking together. Whatever wax they used on those cards was awful.

mines not one productits all of the retail that the companies put outits just annoying when you are garunteed one GU that is worth $8 and knowing that you wont get anything else in it.Some of the retail is alright like Topps Chrome and Bowman thats just my own opinion thanks

I disagree completely w/ this one. Many of those are geared towards getting kids involved in the hobby and for people who do not have hobby shops near by. Its also for guys w/ serious pack ripping addictions and they provide them in a pinch and sometimes 24 hours, lol. I have pulled most of my higher end pulls from retail too. I have also bought plenty of hobby and pulled the cheapest GU and autos far more often than I have pulled the higher end ones. Its a gamble but again retail is mostly geared towards kids and pack searchers.

I'm completely concur with the statement about CONTENDERS - I dont see why people flip out over cards that suck some massive ™™™™™. Lets number them and not throw in GU/EU/Anything used and sell it for one and a quarter and box.

SP on the other hand - nothing but love. I dont mind not pulling a ton of stuff per box. Because when you do get the hit. Its generally the motherload!

I dont see what the beef with Exquisite is though... Great looking product, but who is really trying to put together a set of this stuff? honestly?
