I don't know man. The only finger you don't need is your pinky. If he had no thumb, there is no way he could play basketball. You need your thumb to grasp ahold of things. Actually yeah, now that I see, not having a ring finger might actually affect him negatively. However I think that over time he has adapted to shooting the ball with 4 fingers. Hes a decent shooter anyways, just not a good ball handler. Oh well. Well never know unless we ask Gerald himself haha.
