    Older Topps Cards Curling?

I just opened a box of 1987 Topps Baseball cards. It seems like the cards are bending or curling almost as soon as you let them sit out of the pack for more than a few minutes. Is this common with older cards, particulalry those that are not on thick stock? I noticed the same thing with a recent ebay purchase of 1978 Topps baseball commons (previously opened).

    Thanks,
    Mark

Were the boxes kept in a moist area? That's what I am thinking...

No way to know, as I purchased off eBay, but I also opened an 800ct box of 1985 Topps that have been in my possession since I ripped the wax packs 23 years ago, and they are also now curved. Those have been stored consistently in closets in my house, so I know they were not exposed to moisture.
