When I was nine years old I sent a letter off to my favorite author/illustrater Richard Scarry to his publishing house. I forgot about it and about 6-9 months later I recieved a letter from Switzerland (which was very exciting) and started tearing into it...halfway through, my mom said maybe I should keep the envelope and not destroy it, that's why the left side is cut nicely.

My sister had it framed for me a few years ago and I was curious as to the value of it. He was a bestselling author by some reports he outsold Dr. Suess. I have not found any autograph of his on the web. He was a recluse and rarely gave interviews. I assume it's rather rare. Any help would be appriciated.
