    Fair or Unfair ??

    hi

i just started to collect monta ellis rc since i was big fan of him since his rc, but in the past couple of weeks ive been turned down from most trade since most of them used the old beckett, most especially the 05-06 sp authentic rc auto /1299, most say it books for 80, but when i check beckett online price guide and it book for 40, and when i tell them about the new price, they always say ill only trade it for 80 beckett value since thats how much i gave up for when i get that ellis card from a trade ? i would give up that much to get that card, but is this fair or unfair?

It's unfair, so you can always look for a better deal. However, there have been many times where I trade in the other person's favor for something I really need. So depends on how badly you need the card and stuff like that.

I paid 30 for mine, when the book value was 80 but I don't think I would get anywhere near that now. So to answer your question yes it's unfair but at the same time people don't want to take a loss. So I can see both sides here.

Just another case of someone trying to rip you off.
