Clippers make second trade in 3 days
LOS ANGELES (AP)—The injury-riddled Los Angeles Clippers made their second trade in three days Wednesday, acquiring seldom-used Hassan Adams and cash from the Toronto Raptors for a future conditional second-round draft pick.
Adams, who grew up in nearby Inglewood and played his college ball at Arizona, averaged 0.9 points and 0.6 rebounds in 12 games for the Raptors this season. The 24-year-old swingman was selected in the second round of the 2006 NBA draft by New Jersey and appeared in 61 games as a rookie, averaging 2.9 points.

Clippers have been busy! Giving up cash and 2 conditional 2nd round picks to get Samb and Adams. I wonder if either will see any real playing time....

I don't understand it either - they got cash out of the deal, but gave up a conditional 2nd round pick....must've done it for the money.

"conditional" means Adams had to do something or theres a stipulation in the trade that depends if they get the pick or not, just to clarify!

I just read that they waived him because they want to re-sign Fred Jones, whom they waived on Monday.
Does that make sense to anyone? If so, please explain it to me!!!

It is not strange Clippers has dealt like that.
Stratigies of Clippers has been "Selling Players when we can receive money".
At least Clippers has done bussiness very well.
But not as basketball team.

They got cash for a conditional 2nd round pick, and they'll use that cash to resign Jones. Why? Don't ask me. That's just what I am guessing. Whatever the reasoning, it's still bizarre to me.
