    Lurker No More

    I've been lurking on here for a few days and finally decided I needed to join. The site seems like it has a bunch of great features that only members can use, and also I'm going to need some advice moving forward.

    My history with sportscards. Was into baseball cards as a young lad (before highschool and a drivers license). So my collection basically consisted of '88-'90 baseball cards. Haven't done much in the hobby since then.

    When my nephew was born 5 years ago, I started buying him a couple of rookie cards and some hobby packs of football cards for his birthday each year. Figured it would be fun to open them with him some day when he gets into cards. So a couple weeks ago I'm at the local shop buying his cards and I open a "grab bag" the owner has put together and I "hit" a Chris Long autographed letterman, bv $60. So now I've got the bug again. I've bought something almost everyday since then either on e-bay or at a local shop.

    Don't quite know yet what I will be concentrating on collecting, but do know it will be football. Most likely Dallas Cowboys and Brett Favre. Specifically Aikman, Irving, Smith, Johnston, Novacek, Whitten, Romo, and F. Jones. As a side probably will try to get some Dat Nguyn and M. Bennett goods as I'm an Aggie as well.

    Look forward to it guys. Be patient with me and show me the ropes.
