    2008 (4) Box Break

Donruss Elite Extra Edition: Not a bad break. I like this year's edition much more than last year's - cards are sharper and with more gloss. And I also like the fact that the product isn't saturated with multi-sport players - the only non-baseball card I got was a Derrick Rose insert, which is pretty nice. I got my 4 autos, 2 jerseys, and 2 parallels out the break.

    Parallels: Yockey #'d /150, Rohrbough #'d /150

    Autos: Blair #'d /719, Rohrbough #'d /719, Green #'d /100, Halman #'d /429

    Jerseys: Porcello #'d /1500 (red), Mangini/Mercer #'d /500 (white)

Nice break! I could use the Halman auto. CMB, if it's FT. Thanks!

UD Documentary: Perfect for set-builders, but pretty boring otherwise. No real parallels, jerseys, or autos. What I really disliked about it is the fact that there are no actual player names on the cards, just an action shot with a particular player who it's sometimes hard to tell who it is from thew angle. For someone like me who sorts their cards by player, this is a nightmare. Overall, I pulled one auto of a Rockies prospect, in which it wasn't numbered.

Topps Heritage High Number: I did pretty good on this break. I don't like how Topps Update is seeded in the product, but whatever it's filler. I got my jersey pull in the middle of the box, so I figured my hits were done. Then towards the end of the box I pulled TWO autos in one pack, back to back. I'm a satisfied customer - relatively cheap product, love the gum, and I walked away with a handful of RC's.

Parallels (10): Miles, Percival, Mussina, Perkins, Moehler, Hinske, Pineiro, Fukudome RC #'d /1959. Mussina, Cantu, Macri RC #'d /559. Kuroda RC #'d /59

    Jersey (1): Granderson (white)

Autos (2): Soto, and Al Jackson (early 60's Mets ace). These two were quite the surprise being that the box only advertised one hit. Blue sharpie on-card sigs!

Bowman Draft Picks & Prospects: Probably my fave product of year, with Finest. A box full of RC's to go with the one hit auto and a few parallels and refractors.

    Auto (1): Carlos Gutierrez

Refractors (2): Brandon Boggs RC, Brett Gardner RC

    Parallels (2): Blake Tekotte RC #'d /399, Xavier Avery RC #'d /99

I've got a few high end boxes coming in a few days, so stay tuned. As always, I will entertain trades for pretty much all items.
