Trade Etiquette Question:
I was recently involved in a trade in which I gave up a $50 autograph and a $10 jersey card for an autograph/jsy card #/15.
Before the deal, I asked for the bv of the card and he said he didnt know, but he was asking $65 on it. I told him I didnt have beckett but that was probably too high a value so he agreed to do the deal.
Yesterday, I went out and bought a Beckett. Curious to see if my new card booked, I looked in it and found the bv was only $20-30.
Should he send the cards back because of a poorly projected price? I offered to let him keep the jsy card because I felt bad and send him a few bucks because of shipping.
He has now refused to send the cards back, saying a deal is a deal. What do I do?

i'd say let it go man.......bv doesn't mean anything anyways....if you thought it was a good trade before you found what the bv was then it shouldn't matter all that much....but that's just me

It's a tough situation. Don't think there is much you can do about it. It's pretty messed up if he tricked you on purpose. If he didn't mean to deceive you and was a nice guy, he might've sent the card back. But he's not really obliged to, and there's not much to do about it if the deal went through.
Sometimes life's not fair and we got to deal with it. I'm sure we've all end up with the short end of the deal one time or another. To some people, it's not a hobby anymore it's business and they're not here to make friends. It's a sad thing that people can't trust each other anymore, but that's how life is.
Next time, before you confirm a trade, just be prepared with a beckett or even make a thread on the forums asking for BV. There are always people willing to help tell you what the BV is.

if you don't mind sharing, what were the cards? I'm sure you've been told, $65 bv doesn't mean $65 sv.

Yeah I dont care much for sell value (as my sig says haha)
I was getting a TJ Ford auto/jsy/15 from luxury box for an Aaron Brooks ultimate rc auto/10. In retrospect it wasn't a smart deal, but the guy collects Aaron Brooks so I figured I'd be nice and help out his PC.
Because it's a PC card for him though, he doesn't want to refund the deal, which I guess is understandable.

I think its up to you to find out the BV before trading. Dont trade till you find out and dont ever take anyones word for it.
But know he shouldt have to send back.

Yeah it is mostly my fault, but I'm just disappointed because I ended up with the short end is all. I guess I'll have to take responsibility, but I would personally do a trade-back if I were on the other end.
I guess it isnt a part of etiquette, but as a common courtesy among traders, it would be nice.
