Angry HORRIBLE CALL on the Charge (4 pts to SAC)

Anyone else hoping for Dallas and still complaining about the 4 point swing, where Christie charged over Nash (Mavs up 7 at the time) and they called it an and 1. Add on Nellie's T, and thats 4 PTS on a play that should have been a charge.

Now Sac is up 106-100 and I think that horrible call was the turning point of the game

it really doesn't matter, one way or the other

For the past 4 years, Dallas has done exactly the same thing (if this were a movie, it'd be called GroundHog day)

Dallas does well in the regular season, but what that organization doesn't realize (or else refuses to understand) is that they have a TERRIBLE team

First, Steve Finley chokes when it comes to clutch time. He's proven this year after year in the playoffs. Sure, he'll have 1-2 good games; but mostly, he's been a detriment

Second, Nowitzki's offense is counter-balanced by the fact that he plays no defense. It doesn't matter that you score 30 points, if the opposing player scores 25 points.

Third, Steve Nash is an above average player at best. Sort of a glorified John Stockton (who really wasn't that good either). Nash showed in this playoff series, much like the past 3 playoff series, that he cannot hit the clutch shots. Much like Stockton never could hit the clutch shots in the playoffs. Sure, he made one here and there....but 19 years of reaching the playoffs and not once winning an NBA title?

Fourth, the Dallas organization refuses to address 2 weaknesses: defense and a big man in the middle.

They keep thinking that they will out-score their opponents...

but what they don't realize is that they do not have a clutch player (a Kobe, an Allen Iverson, a Mike Bibby) who can make the tough shot to win the game.

3 times in this series, if the Mavs had Kobe / Allen / Bibby, they'd have won those 3 games.

But, as you can see, their last 2 games, the Mavs had the ball with 5-10 seconds left, and threw up bricks. The shots weren't even close to going in.....

soooooooooooooo....what I am trying to say is that one call (even if it was bad, which I totally agree) means nothing, b/c the Mavs had chance after chance after chance to win, and they either

    1. turned the ball over
    2. missed layups
    3. missed open jumpers

Dallas added Antawn Jamison and Antoine (I shoot the 3-pointers a lot b/c there's no 4-pointers) Walker -- both of whom are streaky offensive players who play no defense.

that's like pouring gasoline on a fire in an attempt to douse the flames

Dallas needs to overhaul their entire organization

    1. get rid of Steve Finley
    2. Keep Dirk and Nash
    3. stick Walker and Jamison on the bench as the 2nd unit
    4. get a legitimate big man in the middle (like a Brad Miller)
    5. concentrate on teaching defense.

Dallas routinely scores over 100 points, and routinely loses, in the playoffs for these past 4 years.....

you'd think there'd be some intelligence over in Dallas that says "hmmmm, perhaps we oughtta start focusing on defense.."
