Need HELP about an Error card
I have a 1999 Topps Chipper Jones Vinny Castilla and Scott Rolen card that has an all black front side to it. What's the deal with that? I have not seen another card like it.

The origins of cards like this are varied, and usually impossible to determine without inside information. The basic categories are as follows:
*A printing error makes its way into packs just like regular product.
*Sheets of cards used to test printing procedures (printing one side of a card, printing specific colors, etc.) prior to producing cards for packs make their way into the secondary market.
*Sample materials that are similar, but not identical, to the product that they advertise are distributed to dealers make their way into the secondary market.
Since the card itself may not contain any clues as to which of these it is, you usually have to track somebody down who knows which of these cases might apply to a given card. This turns out to be very challenging, in general.
