Looking for input on starting collection...who?
Looking to commit to one player as my focus of collection. Looking for someone 'under the radar' of the collecting world, so that I can get a lot of his cards for decent prices. Also looking for someone who has entered the league in the last 3-5 years and is averaging at least 10ppg+. Any suggestions? Input is greatly appreciated!
Thanks.

Chris Bosh. If he every gets away from the Raptors, his cards will sky-rocket.

Monta Ellis, Kelenna Azubike, are a few lower guys, Ellis's stuff have gone down alot lately with the bike crash..
David Lee would be great, i find he has very undervalued cards and puts a double double up every night!Hidden Content

Another is LaMarcus Aldridge. If the Trailblazers go anywhere, it will be because of Roy,?Oden, and Aldridge.

Another I think is Mike Conley. He is only 20 and, usually, good point guards take some time to mature.

I agree that David Lee is a good choice. You could also consider Jameer Nelson. He's really taken his game to another level this year, though it's too early to say if he can sustain it, and he's not especially prized by anyone as far as I know. Except for one guy who's trying to get all 14 of his Exquisite Gold rookie cards and has like 8 of them already.

Rudy Fernandez or Batum...since you like Portland.
Big Al Jefferson (hopefully he gets traded, to a team with hobby love. He constantly puts up great numbers)
Some 08-09 guys stuff are selling cheap, but have huge potential...Brook Lopez, Anthony Randolph, Courtney Lee

I'd say go with bosh or dwight howard
Bosh because his contract with the raptors is almost up and i don't think he'll be there much longer....as soon as he goes somewhere else i'd expect to see a jump in his value
dwight howard because i still think he's undervalued in the hobby right now for what he and his team are doing in the league right now.....the guy is a beast...i'd also think about jameer nelson to but that's an afterthought.....he's having a breakthrough season, possibly all-star material, and he's very undervalued.....you can get jameer's auto for dirt cheap still
