2008 SCF Trader and Member of the Year

Over the previous 12 months, we were blessed to have some of the best traders and members out there to be members of SCF. Each month, we recognized a trader and a member who shined above the rest. The staff got together and look back on the year and decided to trim it done to one who stood out above all others in 2008.

The 2008 SCF Trader of the Year is gladdyontherise. I know...surprise, surpise. Dan was a Top 10 Trader in 9 of the 12 months in 2008, which tied him with another Trader of the Month for the most times. He was named the Trader of the Month twice (May and July). His high point was in July when he hit 100 to reach Century Member status. His low point was in November with only 39 trades.

In 2008, Dan completed 745 trades, which was the highest of all of our Traders of the Month. That was an average of 62 trades a month, which ended up be the second highest average from the Traders of the Month.

The 2008 SCF Member of the Year award was a much closer race. We had 12 deserving members who received the award for the month. But in the end, it came down to two member with the difference in voting coming down to 1 vote. After all was said and done, our 2008 SCF Member of the Year is gladdyontherise. Sound familiar?

Dan just qualified by receiving the Member of the Month award back in December. As a member, he is all over the boards. He tries to assist the staff and members alike in numerous ways. Between promoting SCF at a recent card show to reporting posts on the site to conversing with all members, Dan has made SCF his home.
