Wake Forest should be number 1. They deserve it. Plus, i have a deep hatred for Duke :)

i think wake is easily the best team in college basketball right now, but i think they'll lose at duke next week, duke has more of a home crowd than NC or clemson did. i also hate duke, only thing i like is the crazies.

Did you really just say that? Im an illini fan but im gonna have to defend the demon deacons here. Duke has beaten the following "tough teams", g-town, Xavier, Purdue, and Michigan. Wake has beaten the following "tough teams" North Carolina, Clemson, Boston College, BYU, and Baylor. They are OBVIOUSLY deserving the #1 rank here. And plus, they are undefeated.

I think he was talking about the Heels. Biggest deficit against Miami was 9 midway through the first. Hardly a scare for an offense that scores in large runs. I just wish their defensive intensity was more consistent. They always show up in Feb and March. Duke's hasn't been so lucky. They like to choke in the regionals.

By all rights the Deacs should be consensus #1.
