No, LOL, that is not pack searching because he looked through the packs and picked which one gave him the best shot at the jersey. He didn't damage the rest of the cards by bending packs, didn't run his finger through it, didn't reseal the packs.

That's called lots of luck. I wish I had that type of luck with retail or hobby.

No, that's definitely pack searching. There are different ways to search different products, and Absolute retail at Target typically has 4-5 GUed per box. Last year's did too. Picking out the fat pack is definitely pack searching, not that there's anything wrong with it. He did the smart thing, got the hits, and good for him. The rest of that box is base, and it's not his fault. Blame Donruss for making it so easy to tell which packs have the jujus and which don't.
